Mohawk, the Friend who Keeps on Giving

Mohawk, the Friend Who Keeps on Giving
December 2022

Mohawk is the largest employer in Rockbridge County, and ask just about any group of visiting children who’s got a family member that makes carpets, and you’ll find the Mohawk connection. But our connections run deeper.

Several years ago Boxerwood had the good fortune to meet Mr. Marty Bullins, Sustainability Coordinator and so much more at the Glasgow plant. Thanks to Marty’s initiative, annually supports Boxerwood with a corporate membership and camp scholarships, but this business also sends employees to the field to help with river programs, tree plantings, career days, and more.

Quietly, over the years, Mohawk has also equipped us with the kind of things we need to get work done: a new pop-up tent for festivals, another box of water-monitoring supplies, t-shirts for our youth summit, fruit trees, composters – and just this fall, a whole passel of shovels and related gear for our tree planting initiatives. Truly, this unique partnership is a gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, Marty and Mohawk, for being our secret Santa.
