Taught by herbalist Emma Gould, attendees will learn to ID, sustainably forage and harvest, and make use of the amazing plants that grow all around us.

All are invited to view the partial eclipse on Monday 04.08. This is an unstaffed event. We only have a few pairs of glasses to share, so bring your own if you have them. The eclipse will be visible from about 1:50pm - 4:30pm.

Bring your smart phone or your camera (all types welcome) to capture wildlife, golden hour, sunset, and the stars! All ages, experience, and skill levels welcome.

Hosted by Miss Jess and the Rockbridge Bird Club, the walk begins at the Kiosk at 9am and make several stops throughout the garden. This event is appropriate for people of all ages and attention spans.
- Apr 21, 2024, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PMthe pavilion at Boxerwood, 963 Ross Rd, Lexington, VA 24450, USAFacilitated by artist and Boxerwood Volunteer Coordinator Karen Stanley, learn to paint with watercolors “en plein air" -- a French expression meaning "in the open air." This workshop will take place amidst the blooming flowers and lush greenery of the garden. Paint, palettes, and paper provided.
- Apr 27, 2024, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PMmeet in the Waddell parking lot, 100 Pendleton Pl, Lexington, VA 24450, USAIn honor of Boxerwood's late founder Mollie Messimer, we are planting native trees along the banks of Sarah's Run, a tributary of Wood's Creek. Afterwards, bring a picnic lunch to the Boxerwood field. Picnickers select a bare root tree to plant at home.
- May 04, 2024, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PMMunger Lodge, 963 Ross Rd, Lexington, VA 24450, USAThis is a fee-based workshop for those interested in learning about the tradition of labyrinth creation and meditation. The 10 am - 4 pm workshop costs $75, and it will be led by Mary Ann Wamhoff of Crozet, a Veriditas Accredited Facilitator.

Gathering at locally-assembled labyrinths the world over, participants “Walk as One at 1:00,” (local time), thus creating a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next.
