‘Tis the season for our annual Gifts of Nature workshop. Bring family and friends to create take-home art that feeds the winter birds and literally spruces up your yard. Workshop is at Boxerwood on Saturday, Dec. 9, 1 – 5 pm (raindate Dec. 10), with fees $5 per family for members, $10 per family for non-members.
Twist honeysuckle and grapevine into wreaths or swags, then tie on bird-tasty treats, such as cranberry garlands, dried fruit kabobs, peanut-buttered pinecones, and seed-filled citrus cups.
We’ll provide vines, cones, winter berries, and greenery, as well as suet, raffia, ribbon and other project supplies.
Please bring one type of wildlife food with you, such as birdseed, unsalted nuts in shells, dried fruits, popcorn, or fresh cranberries to share with other participants. Our nature crafts table is stocked for making one-of-a-kind gifts of nature for your favorite humans, too.
This is an all-outdoor event, so dress accordingly. We will have a wood fire and hot cider to help keep everyone toasty.
