If only the Great Oak could talk, what stories it would tell! This Shumard oak (Quercus shumardii) has been around for at least a century. Although one of its large limbs came down in a storm on July 17th, 2021, it still stands tall and continues to grow.

2021 Music in the Garden Season Extended
We are happy to announce that we are extending the season into September with two make-up concerts. On September 3rd, Boxerwood will welcome one of the newest bands in the Rockbridge music scene to its Meadow stage, Little Marvin and The Martians.
