Making the World More Beautiful

What can you do to make the world more beautiful? After reading the inspiring children’s story of Miss Rumphius by Barbara Clooney, a group of 3rd graders at Enderly Heights ES made their list. Each week Boxerwood educators travel to Buena Vista to help the ten members of the BEST Outdoor Club accomplish their goals. First the children picked up litter, then they planted pansies and crocus bulbs in their schoolyard. Inspired by the acclaimed artist, Andy Goldsworthy, they have turned their talents to creating “Earth Art” plus related haiku. Their plan is to host a pop-up outdoor art show to bring happiness to their classmates during this challenging time. In that spirit, we thought these images might bring you happiness too.

My crazy picture is cool.

My earth art has moss.

I love my picture.

My picture is not the best.

But I still love it.

This is my special nature.

I plant six pansies.
