partner in the picture: great valley farm brewery

Partners sustain the Boxerwood heart-beat throughout the community, and a new partner in that vital work is Great Valley Farm Brewery, located just off Route 11 on the way to Natural Bridge. Owners Nathan and Irma Bailey hosted our first “Have a Brew for Boxerwood” in September 2019, donating 20% of sales to Boxerwood on that memorable Sunday afternoon.

Asked if this might be an annual event, Nathan chimed in, “Absolutely!” Well, the pandemic shifted that “2nd Annual” from 2020 to September 2021, but no lost momentum there! Sunday, September 26, 2021 was yet another phenomenal day at the Great Valley Farm Brewery, whose hilltop site overlooks the Blue Ridge range.

It was a stellar fall afternoon --  sublime is what comes to mind. Live music from our friends Honest Labor, a gorgeous setting, more than a hundred folks coming out for a fun and relaxing afternoon and great brews. Boxerwood staff, volunteers, and families all had a place in the sun.

As for our signature raffle, Chat Stroh received the Gift Certificate to Center of Gravity/fLEX Fitness; Tasha Walsh won the "Think Outside the Plastic" sustainability bag; and Andra Sherman was the thrilled recipient of the Earth Machine composter.

Partners bring out the best in us and our community. Thank you for your bounteous friendship, Great Valley Farm Brewery!
