Thank you to everyone who has supported Boxerwood this pandemic year with your gifts and goodwill. As our fiscal year draws to a close (June 30, 2021), we wanted to alert our readership of a new opportunity to essentially triple your impact with a new, qualifying gift to the Boxerwood Educational Foundation (BEF). As you may recall, this separate 501(c)(3) was created solely to receive and direct donations to support Boxerwood outreach to low-income schools.
Thanks to the Neighborhood Assistance Program, a state incentive program in which BEF participates, eligible donations made to BEF by June 30, 2021 could enable you to receive Virginia state tax credits valued up to 65% (!!!) of your qualifying donation.
The Details
Qualifying donations must be greater than a $500 value for individuals or $612 for businesses. These tax credits are limited, though, and available only for BEF donations that reach or exceed this eligibility threshold between May 1 and June 30, 2021. Contributions may include cash or stock.
