Event Rental Information
Looking for a scenic place to host a party, family reunion, retreat, or meeting? Community groups and individuals may host private events at Boxerwood for a fee. Best of all, your rental supports the garden and our environmental learning programs. Our pricing model is based on the impact the event will have on the land. More people = more impact on our grounds. Contact us with your event details for an exact cost.
Dates need to be approved and cannot conflict with Boxerwood's programming, which always holds priority. Boxerwood staff reserve the right to deny event rental requests. Boxerwood staff also reserve the right to determine if a planned activity qualifies as a private event or an educational program. Educational Programs are subject to different fees and use policies than private events. Boxerwood facilities cannot be used for fundraisers.
Members receive two free hours at the Pavilion annually, and members also receive 20% off all other event rentals.
The Lodge remains closed until further notice. We are revisiting our policies with regularity, but the Lodge will not be re-opened for public use in the forseeable future. If you are planning to hold any events at Boxerwood, expect to be fully out of doors and plan accordingly. Porta-potties are available year-round off of the Play Trail and near the Lodge and Roost. There is a third porta-potty in the field by the music stage April - September. The lodge restrooms remain closed to the public.

the Field

event rental policies
You are responsible for bringing trash bags and removing all trash and recycling from Boxerwood after your event ends. Do not leave any garbage in our receptacles.
There is no indoor bathroom available. Porta-pottys are on site by the Play Trail and near the lodge and Roost. There is also a porta-potty in the field ~April until September.
Alcohol is permitted for lodge and field rentals with special permission. Compliance with the law (liquor licenses and liability insurance) required.
Fires, including grills, are prohibited at all times.
You may bring chairs when renting the field/stage, but not in other areas of the garden. Picnic blankets are permitted.
Balloons and tobacco of every kind are prohibited.
Children over seven may not use the Play Trail.
Your reservation is specific to the site you reserved and 50’ around the site you reserved. Your party must take place at that site. The rest of the garden, including the Play Trail, remains open to the public and may not be reserved solely for your event.

CONTRACT & Payment
After confirming date of availability with Boxerwood staff, you will be given a private URL where you can make an online payment and sign our rental agreement.
member discounts
Members in good standing can rent the Roost or Pavilion for free once a year for two hours. Members also receive 20% off all other event rentals.
