Boxerwood is grateful to Dominion Energy for providing funds for purchasing materials for the newly restored Wetland Walk. Dominion provided a $6,750 grant for all the necessary building materials, including locally harvested, locally milled black locust wood. Black locust is naturally rot resistant, contains none of the harmful chemicals of treated wood, and will last for 30 years. Many thanks to Dominion for helping us create a beautiful, sturdy, and environmentally-friendly wetland walkway for years to come.
