Run On, Run Off: Protect Your Property and Your Streams – Dave Bryer

October 7 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Managing mother nature’s rainfall, too much or too little, can be challenging.  Dave Bryer, Environmental Engineer and Master Gardener, along with Phyllis Fevrier, will take us through the steps to help make mother nature work for you.  Rain gardens are designed to handle fluctuations in precipitation, all the while protecting Virginia’s waterways… and making your personal eco-space a better place to live.  Learn how to incorporate a rain garden into your own landscape master plan.

  • Each program is limited to 20 participants. Dress appropriately and consider bringing a small portable stool or chair for your comfort. We will start from the Boxerwood Lodge (963 Ross Road) just outside Lexington.
  • Parking is free for members of Boxerwood and $5/car for non-members.
  • Programs are free, but suggested free-will donation for each program is $12/person to support maintenance of Boxerwood’s gardens.
