Rockbridge Bluegrass All-Stars Sept 10th

The Shester, Datz, and Newhall bluegrass trio has performed together for many public and private events since 2011. They play an entertaining mix of traditional, contemporary, and progressive Bluegrass with a high lonesome three-part harmony that will melt your face. Blake Shester has been playing banjo since he was fifteen years old and has performed in a variety of bands in California, Tennessee, and Virginia. Dan Newhall lives in Zack, Va. and has been a bass player since 1964, playing and singing bluegrass, old-time, folk, and country music, currently with Datz Us Ramblers, New Corner Grocery, Greenhouse, and others.  Burr Datz has been learning guitar since 1961, performing in a variety of bands since then in a variety of musical genres: blues, country, old-time, and bluegrass. Currently he performs with the Datz Us Ramblers, Caravan of Fools, and Greenhouse. They are delighted to be returning to Boxerwood’s Music in the Garden Series.

There will be no food truck; bring your own lawn chairs, picnics, beverages!

*Please note that this year's season will charge $5 per adult (instead of car). Entrance fee is waived for members.
