MakerJam: Pumpkin Carving

Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden is delighted that the Collaboratory will host a MakerJam on Oct 26 for members of the community to produce a “Pumpkin Carving Edition” for the Oct 28 Pumpkin Walk at Boxerwood. The jack o’ lanterns and pumpkin luminaries created that evening will be exhibited in a Straw Bale Gallery in front of the lodge and also used to illuminate the Play Trail and Fairy Forest during the Pumpkin Walk.
The Maker Jam event is free and open to anyone, but folks should know to bring their own pumpkins and carving tools for sharing.
Artists can reclaim their carved pumpkins at Boxerwood on Sunday, Oct 29 or Monday, Oct 30 if they want to display them at their own homes, or Boxerwood will relocate the Straw Bale Gallery on Halloween night to a corner house on Jackson Street where literally hundreds of children from all over Rockbridge go trick-or-treating.
