Spring Series 2018: Boxerwood’s Spring Natives

April 17, 2018 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Spring Series 2018: Boxerwood’s Spring Natives

Learn about the history and value of native plants that help Boxerwood thrive with Virginia Master Gardener and long-time Boxerwood volunteer, Phyllis Fevrier.

An able teacher, leader, and horticulturalist, Phyllis has a special affinity for sharing her love of native plants with others. Come learn about her ever-growing relationship with the natural world, how she and her husband have transformed former farm fields into native habitat, and what planting projects she and the Native Plant Society are advancing at Boxerwood.

With Boxerwood in full April bloom, this will be a wonderful time to walk the grounds with Phyllis.

Come prepared for conversation and discovery as together we stroll the Garden, greeting various natives (both well known and secretive!) that call Boxerwood home.
