Our Welcome Center, located in Munger Lodge, is the starting point for almost all activities at Boxerwood. Find maps of the garden, tree & birding information, material about our education program, a restroom, and the best view of the Blue Ridge in the whole garden! It was originally the home of Dr. Munger who unintentionally began the Boxerwood legacy out of his love for plants - especially Japanese maples, conifers, and rhododendrons.
Most of the staff have their offices in Munger; Elise Sheffield's and K.B.'s office is next door. If you see any of us stuck inside on a beautiful day, PLEASE come in and rescue us and remind us why it is that we work at a gorgeous place like Boxerwood! You might "run into" some instruction taking place in the living room. That's OK -- you might want to sit awhile and listen!
Take a few minutes to check out the "Touch it Area." We even have wireless Internet access that reaches into the garden, so you can enjoy working on your computer in an unsurpassed setting! |
