Boxerwood Gardens: Nature Center and Woodland Garden

spring heading

eyeoutsideThe Eye

One of Boxerwood's most popular play spots for human children, the eye got its name because from above, its inner circle of dogwood blossoms and outer circle of evergreens give it the appearance of (what else?) an eye. Inside the eye is a magical world hidden from view... in fact, you actually have to duck and sometimes even crawl to get in, which helps make it more magical to kids by keeping adults out!

The outside edge of the eye forms brush piles in many places, providing a great eyebench home for all sorts of critters!  The tricky camouflaged entrance helps keep it special.

Inside, benches and a swing form the center of a cozy woodland kingdom.

Come and see The Eye for yourself -- its true magic and excitement can really only be felt in person.
