Our 15-acre woodland garden is open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. You may meander our garden without charge, thanks to sustaining donations. Find the donation box in the Welcome Kiosk near the parking lot, where you can also borrow a map & learn about upcoming activities.

Boxerwood is located in Rockbridge County, Virginia, just outside the city limits of Lexington at 963 Ross Road. Here's a google map pinned to our location.

• Bring a water bottle! Sorry, no water fountains on site, though hose spigots are located near the Lodge.

• No indoor facilities. Porta-potties are located in the PlayTrail, the lower parking lot, and seasonally in the field.

• Picnic tables are scattered throughout the property. For larger gatherings (up to 30), rent our pavilion. Advanced reservation required.

• Handicap parking and porta-potty in the lower lot near the lodge. Indoor facilities are not always available.

• Wheelchair accessible picnic tables are located in both outdoor shelters.

• Please note the terrain at Boxerwood is sloped and uneven, with tree roots and other obstacles. These locations are our most accessible:

  • The PlayTrail, the Field where we host summer concerts, the Lodge & back patio, and the nearby Pollinator Garden.​
