Spectacle Arts - our 2nd season! .
Campers built huge puppets and creature masks and learn to perform with them in preparation for “The Bones of Boxerwood,” an intergenerational spectacle celebrating the natural history of Boxerwood from its geological origins to the woodland garden of today. The show will be performed at Boxerwood’s 2010 Fall Family Festival on September 25.
Nature Detectives - Our 10th season - "The Heart of Nature"
We used our senses to find the heart of Boxerwood, ourselves, and the world around us. Hands-on investigations and projects as well as supervised free play and (camper-provided) mid-morning snack. Children grouped in small multi-age clans, led by Boxerwood adult staff and volunteers. There were two sessions: Session I: Our 5 senses - digging, listening and playing while in search of clues to find the heart of Boxerwood. Session II : Investigating the hidden secrets within Boxerwood - checking in on the frogs, turtles, and trees.
