Education at Boxerwood

The heart of Boxerwood is our educational mission: to help people of all ages connect with and care for the natural world. The paths of learning at Boxerwood are as varied as those that thread through the garden.

For the rising generation, we provide a continuum of programs in partnership with three local school divisions, bringing more  than 2,000 children into nature each year.

Boxerwood also connects kids with nature through summer camps, workshops, and our much beloved PlayTrail.

We offer workshops and special programs for adults as well, including volunteer programs, trainings, and tours, often in synergy with other community groups.

Base for many of our programs is our 15 acre woodland garden, an ever-present source of inspiration and renewal.

In partnership with local schools, Boxerwood manages the Project NEST (Nurturing Environmental Stewardship Together).
